Project Role
DESCRIPTION: The
American Journal of Transportation is a trade newspaper that has existed for over 75 years. For the
American Journal of Transportation I created HTML newsletter campaigns and modified the distribution mailing lists after each broadcast. Email campaigns were sent either on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis depending on the information featured that week.
On a bi-weekly basis newsletters were sent featuring special topic material written by the AJOT editorial staff. These email campaigns were broadcasted around the same time readers expected their print issue of the publication. Included were additional information such as web display ads, classified listings, etc...
On a weekly basis email campaigns similar in style were distributed with the latest news press releases for the transportation industry. These headlines were sent out by email for those who wished to subscribe to these particular news announcements.
At the end of every month the American Journal of Transportation sent out a special, virtual flip-thru edition (ePUB) called the AJOT International. An email cover letter announced the content, and it changed on a month-to-month basis - listing what the reader could expect in each issue.
Often special advertising requests were distributed as a newsletter regarding a product release. They were designed in-house or provided by an ad agency and launched. Please click on these examples to view these set of campaigns created in-house.
